COVID-19 • The Fox’s Fail

Our federal government is getting its collective butts handed to them by authoritarian governments, European liberal democracies, and Asian democracies.  China, Italy, South Korea and Singapore all test more people in one day than the USA has done, ever.   “.”

The USA has known COVID-19 was on its way for 3 months.  In emergency planning that is everything.  We had so much time.  It’s unbelievable we are here now; so unprepared.  But that is what the magical thinking federal government has allowed to occur.

We look ridiculous on the global stage and now we may become global pariahs.  With no ‘eyes’ on this problem (‘eyes’ in this case being massive testing) we have no idea of the spread in this country.  Yet we have no problem sending our families into the world on spring break seeding communities that may not be yet infected.

And I’ve been fooled – by no less than the VP; a guy who’s politics always interfered with basic decency.  The ‘million test kits’ that have been sent out are not what I thought.  These are just the nasal swabs – a glorified Q-tip in a straw of medium.  That is not a test!  And now I learn that the actual testing is just as much a cluster f@#! as the rest of the federal response has been.  Why?

Getting your COVID-19 test results back are great for you but unless it is in a data base, it is meaningless to help the overall fight.  That system is not yet up and running on the federal level!  Someone should be fired, arrested and jailed for that response.  We have this system already.  I can go to John’s Hopkins site and look it up right now.  Seriously. WTF!

Fox News viewers, you are so easy to spot in this pandemic and you are not helping.  Your math stinks, your knowledge of disease spread stinks and your inability to think of the rest of the citizens, stinks. 

Spend a minute on YouTube and listen to the frontline doctors in Italy, South Korea, Singapore, or China.  They are very clear about the overwhelming nature of this virus and have had to make decisions on care based on availability of resources.

The Fox News ecosystem is filled with ridicule, conspiracies and complacency and is going to get more people sick and dead.  Fox News, its viewers, and the president are the greatest obstacles to mitigating the COVID-19 outbreak.

We will still win because we are awesome.  I mean that literally.  When ‘We the People’ put our heads down and get to work, we are AWESOME.  No one beats us.

You know what to do.  Get it done.
